Youth Ministry Philosophy
Bald Mountain Baptist Church Youth Ministry exists to build up youth and their families within the church for the purpose of evangelizing, equipping, and enlisting people for the furtherance of the Gospel and the glory of God.
What We Want To Do
We want to inspire students to know, love, obey and serve Christ.
What We Want To See Happen
We want to see our students become adults,
who live a faithful and obedient lives in Jesus Christ.
How We Want To Get It Done
1) By providing a safe, nonjudgmental environment for the youth of Ashe county.
2) By training and encouraging young people to step out of their comfort zones and be salt (serve) and light (speak) to their friends.
3) By creating opportunities for adults and youth to get together on a regular basis, through Sunday school, activties and Bible studies to know Christ more and make Him known to others.
4) By supplying parents with the resources to help them do what the Lord wants with their young person.
5) By involving adults who will lead by example and be available to listen, or speak when needed.
6) By encouraging our youth to get involved in the daily ministry of the church.
What Is Most Important To Us?
The Bible
We believe that the Christ is God's answer for obedient living, therefore the Bible should be our means of instruction for living out the life of Christ. We believe that the Bible is God's Word without error.
Relationships
We believe that positive parental, adult and peer relationships are invaluable when it comes to helping us be all that God wants us to be.
Practical Teaching
We believe that God's Word is so important to the Christian's life that it must be taught in a way that relates to the needs and struggles that teenagers face today.
