Current Announcements

As situations evolve the church will post new announcements to this page.  Please check the website for instructions, updates, and scheduled times for services and e-letters.

As we prepare to come back to church for services inside the building, it’s not as easy as opening the doors and inviting everyone in for worship. We must have guidelines for our return to ensure the safety of all our congregation. We want people to feel safe and free to worship without fear of contracting the virus, and do so in an orderly fashion.

Our plan will be to continue Facebook Live Streaming for those who feel they should remain at home for an additional period of time. We will continue Drive In Church for a period of time to give those who enjoy this way of attending worship without the contact of persons inside the Sanctuary. Also we will continue as in the past our recordings of worship services for Skybest Television. I feel in providing these four options for worship will give our church family the best opportunities to continue worshipping in the best environment for each person’s needs.

Recommended Guidelines to follow Re-Entering the Building:

1.If you are sick or have symptoms that are flu like, please do not attend services. Also, if you have been in contact with someone who has been exposed to the COVID- 19 virus, please stay home and contact your physician. Do not feel pressured to come to church if you are uncomfortable in being around other people at this time. You decide when you are ready to attend in the Sanctuary.

2. Follow signage to “Entrance Only” (the ramp) and “Exit Only” (covered) from the bigger parking lot.

 3. Social Distancing is to be observed and encouraged.  Refrain from handshaking, hugging, etc. The water fountains will not be operable.

 4. Deacons will assist families with seating.  Pews will be identified for occupancy or not.

 5. Masks and gloves are optional but not mandatory.

 6. Tithes and offerings will be collected at the entrance and exit areas by an usher.

 7. We will continue SS/BF on Facebook Live Streaming on the designated evenings at 7pm until it is safe to meet in groups in a classroom environment.

 8. Wednesday night Bible study will continue on Facebook Live Streaming as well. We will not be having Sunday evening services at this time.

These guidelines may appear as if we will be under too much restriction, but once we begin following them, they are common sense practices that warrant our observance and compliance during this time. I’m only asking that we accept these changes until more time passes and the threat of contracting the virus is reduced. Thank you for your patience and willingness to observe these guidelines.

 Respectfully,

 Pastor John Elledge & Deacons
